Lifeguards Rescue Four Swimmers in Wildwood

Lifeguards in Wildwood managed to rescue four swimmers in distress early Saturday morning.

According to Wildwood beach patrol, lifeguards were preparing for their shift around 9:50 a.m. when the responded to calls for help coming from the water.

The lifeguards discovered four swimmers in need of help in the water off of Spicer Ave.

Eight to ten lifeguards jumped into action and were able to rescue the four swimmers, though one was unconscious, and another was only semi-conscious.

Lifeguards performed CPR on the unconscious swimmer on the beach, and were able to revive them. All four were taken to area hospitals for evaluation.

Their conditions are unknown.

Beach Patrol is reminding swimmers to only enter the water when life guards are on duty and present.
