Local college students protest President-elect Donald Trump and police brutality

Ardmore, Pa. (WTXF) - College students from nearby Haverford and Bryn Mawr College took to the streets. About 40 of them marching down Lancaster Avenue to protest the election of Donald Trump.

A flyer announcing a "sit in" outside of Lower Merion Police Department called for disrupting commutes. They were protesting against Donald Trump and police brutality.

As student protestors arrived they were met by another group-- about an equal number of pro police demonstrators fired back. Both groups yelling face-to-face were separated by the very same police who were the subject of the protest. Each group held signs, traded chants and one liners.

Then after about 15 minutesthe peaceful protest was over. Students walked back down Lancaster Avenue to their colleges. It left some shaking their heads.
