Local man raises questions over Amazon delivery safety

A Philadelphia man says he was fired by a courier service delivering for Amazon when he complained about the poorly maintained vans he was driving.

The driver's claims raise questions of safety, over dented delivery trucks, broken lights, failing GPS systems, and cracked or even missing mirrors.

21-year-old Randy Shaw says he faced all of those things while delivering Amazon orders for a delivery company contracting with the massive on-line retailer.

He says when he reported the issues, he was told to "do what you can" and still the vans.

Shaw says a combined package-tracking and GPS system called the "rabbit" often didn't work leaving him "stranded" in communities he didn't know.
