Lock down lifted at J. Hampton Moore School after weapon report, toy gun found
NORTHEAST PHILADELPHIA (FOX 29) - Police have lifted the lock down at J. Hampton Moore School.
Officers originally responded to the school after receiving reports that a student had entered the building armed with a gun. However, officers say the weapon turned out to be a toy gun.
The school, grades kindergarten to fifth, is located on the 6900 block of Summerdale Avenue in Northeast Philadelphia.
The lock down was placed at 8:40 a.m. and was lifted an hour later.
