Lower Makefield police investigate rash of burglaries

The Lower Makefield Township Police Department is investigating nighttime burglaries, which have occurred over the last several months.

"We're lucky. If they have a gun or something we could have get hurt." This Lower Makefield Township man is thankful he and his family were not injured when he says a crook got into his Amberwood Drive house Monday as they slept and took whatever they could.

He says police found the wallet not far from the house, but more than $500 was gone.

It's one of ten burglaries in recent months all overnight, according to Lower Makefield Police. They released a map showing where most of the crimes happened. The burglaries have happened on Barn Drive, Elm Avenue, Highland Drive, Morningside Drive, Odessa Lane, Wilton Crescent and Inverness Drive.

The grabs usually include cash and small electronics.
