Man, 22, gunned down inside corner grocery store in North Philadelphia

NORTH PHILADELPHIA (WTXF) - A homicide investigation is underway in North Philadelphia after police say a 22-year-old man was shot and killed inside a corner grocery store.

The shooting happened on the 3300 block of North 6th Street Wednesday night around 7 p.m.

Police say the victim was shot by an unknown suspect multiple times inside the store. The victim was struck in the head and upper torso and taken the hospital by police. He succumbed to his injuries a short time late.

No arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing.
