Man, 24, charged in Roosevelt Blvd. crash that killed 1, injured 4

Police have arrested the man they say is responsible for a three-vehicle crash that killed a woman and injured four others in Mayfair Sunday morning.

Zamir Allen, 24, has been charged with Aggravated Assault, Involuntary Manslaughter, Aggravated Assault while DUI, Homicide by Vehicle, Homicide by Vehicle while DUI, False ID to Law Enforcement Authority and related offenses.

The incident took place shortly before 7 a.m. on Roosevelt Boulevard.

A female passenger in one of the vehicles, later identified as 52-year-old Diana Como, was pronounced dead at the scene. A 34-year-old man also suffered a broken leg, and a 62-year-old man was hospitalized with a head injury. Authorities say both are in stable condition. Two other passengers were treated at the scene for minor injuries.
