Man, 24, shot in the wrist in Center City

CENTER CITY (WTXF) - Police are investigating a shooting in front of a Center City fast food restaurant late Wednesday night.

The shooting happened on the 1500 block of Chestnut Street around 8:37 p.m. in front of a Wendy's.

Officers responded to the scene but could not locate the victim. A short time later police learned a 25-year-old man was shot in the wrist and then ran three blocks to an Apple store at 16th and Walnut where he flagged down an officer.

The victim was rushed to Hahnemann Hospital where he was listed in stable condition.

The suspect has been described by police as a black male wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, dark pants, and green sneakers.

No arrests have been made.
