Man, 30, shot and killed on birthday in Kensington

Police in Kensington continue to have their hands full as they investigate the third homicide in 24 hours.

The latest incident occurred on East Allegheny Avenue around 1:00 a.m.

Police say the victim was shot in the head while standing outside with his girlfriend. The shooting apparently resulted from an argument earlier in the day, when the victim was celebrating his birthday.

Homicide detectives say a local business did capture the incident on video.

The incident comes just hours after two other homicides in the same neighborhood.

The first incident occurred around the same time on Monday night, when a 19-year-old man was found suffering from a gunshot wound to the back of the head on the 2900 block of Rosehill Street. He was pronounced dead a short time later.

Monday morning around 7:08 a.m. officers located a man in his 20's suffering from a gunshot wound to the back. He was pronounced dead before he could be transported.

No arrests have been made in these cases at this time.
