Man, 31, critical after shooting at North Philly gas station

Police are investigating following a shooting at a North Philadelphia gas station that left one man badly wounded.

The incident took place just before 10 p.m. on Monday at the Sunoco located at Windrim Avenue and North Broad Street in Logan.

When police arrived, they discovered a 31-year-old man laying on the ground next to his vehicle. The man, who was shot twice in the head and chest, was unresponsively.

The victim was transported to Einstein Medical Center where he is in critical condition.

Police say at least 12 shots were fired from a semi-automatic weapon.

Witnesses say the victim was engaged in an altercation with the shooter and a woman accompanying the shooter that spilled outside the mini-mart. Gunfire then ensued.

Witnesses tell police that the shooter and the woman accompanying him fled the scene in an unknown direction.

No arrests have been made at this time.
