Man, 44, shot in the chest and killed in Frankford

FRANKFORD (FOX 29) - A man is dead after he was shot in the chest in Frankford, police say.

Philadelphia police were called to the 1700 block of Harrison Street Saturday, just after 4:30 p.m.

They say they found a 44-year-old man shot once in the chest, when they arrived.

The man was rushed to Temple University Hospital and was listed in critical condition. He died a short time later.

Authorities say the investigation is ongoing. No weapon has been found and no arrests have been made.
