Man abducted, bound and robbed in Northeast Philadelphia

Authorities are investigating after they say a man was abducted, bound and robbed in Northeast Philadelphia.

It happened on the 6700 block of Ditman Street on Sept. 14.

Police say the victim, a 21-year-old man, was taking out his trash and preparing to leave for work when he was grabbed by armed suspects and pushed into a white Chrysler 300 parked nearby. The suspects allegedly threw a bag over the victim's head and bound his hands with duct tape.

The suspects then allegedly used the victim's debit card to take out $500 at the ATM on Sheffield Street and Frankford Avenue. Surveillance footage released by police captured the incident.

The victim was ultimately dropped off near Hartell and Torresdale avenues and threatened not to call police.

Police are now searching for the four suspects. Authorities believe the victim was the intended target of the alleged robbery and that the act was not random.

Anyone with information on the alleged abduction or suspects is urged to contact police.
