Man arrested in Strawberry Mansion deadly shooting

STRAWBERRY MANSION (WTXF) - There's now an arrest after a man was found shot in his chest in Strawberry Mansion, midday Wednesday.

Police said they found Roderick Jones, 50, lying on the sidewalk in the 3000 block of Fontain Street, and Jones died shortly after.

Now, they've explained, members of the Philadelphia Highway Patrol unit received "flash" information that another man, Michael Davis, was the offender.

Davis, 60, was last seen heading westbound on Fontain Street.

Officers stopped him in the 3200 block of W. Fontain Street, made a positive identification and arrested him.
