Man caught on surveillance video demanding cash from mini market employee with handgun
SOUTHWEST SCHUYLKILL (WTXF) - Southwest Detectives are searching for a man who robbed a mini market in Southwest Schuylkill last week.
The incident occurred at the R+J Mini Market on the 5300 block of Woodland Avenue on December 22 at 5:00 p.m.
According to police, an unknown male entered the store at the time and went to the rear of the store where he approached an employee, a 64-year-old male.
He pulled out a handgun and demanded money from the cash register to be placed inside a white plastic bag.
After taking an undetermined amount of money, the suspect fled on foot and was last seen south on 54 th Street.
No injuries were reported.
The suspect is described as a black male with a medium brown complexion, facial hair, 5'9", 185 pounds, medium build, wearing all black clothing and armed with a handgun.
