Man critical after being shot in the stomach in Southwest Philadelphia

SOUTHWEST PHILADELPHIA (WTXF) - Police are investigating after a man was shot in the stomach in Southwest Philadelphia overnight.

Officers responded to the 6000 block of Elmwood Avenue around 5:30 a.m. Sunday. The 23-year-old was transported to Pennsylvania Hospital before being transferred to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center.

The victim is listed in critical condition.

No arrests have been made at this time. This is an ongoing investigation.
