Man critical after being shot while driving in Wynnefield Heights

WEST PHILADELPHIA (FOX 29) - Police are investigating after a man was shot multiple times while driving in West Philadelphia's Wynnefield Heights neighborhood.

Officials say the 38-year-old victim was shot around 12:15 a.m. at the intersection of Monument Road and Conshohocken Avenue. The man reportedly drove to a BP gas station 4200 block of Ridge Avenue, where police were notified.

The man was transported to Temple University Hospital, where he is listed in critical condition.

Police say the man is also being held for allegedly violating the Uniform Firearm Act.

This is an ongoing investigation. No arrests have been made at this time.
