Man Dead After Being Shot Point Blank Multiple Times, 1 Suspect in Custody

SOUTHWEST PHILADELPHIA (WTXF) - Philadelphia Police say they have on man in custody after another man was found dead following a shooting in Southwest Philadelphia early Friday morning.

Officers discovered a victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds around 2:30 a.m. on the 7800 block of Centaur Place.

The victim was shot multiple times at point blank range, according to police.

One suspect was taken into custody after three witnesses were able to identify him as the gunman.

Detectives say they are also looking to track down a second suspect, who witnesses saw running away from the scene.

The investigation is ongoing.
