Man dead, woman critical after shooting in North Philadelphia

NORTH PHILADELPHIA (WTXF) - Police are investigating after a shooting in North Philadelphia left one man dead and a woman in critical condition.

Shortly before 4 a.m., officers responded to the 2400 block of Cecil B. Moore Avenue, where they a 23-year-old man was shot eight times.

The victim was transported to Temple University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead a short time later.

A 19-year-old woman was also shot multiple times, according to police. She was transported to Temple University Hospital in critical condition.

This is an ongoing investigation. No arrests have been made at this time.
