Man Killed in Police-Involved Shooting in Upper Darby Identified

Upper Darby, Pa. (WTXF)- Police officers shot and killed a man in Upper Darby, after responding to a call for a suicidal man with a knife.

The man has now been identified as 54-year-old David Zollo.

Officers were called out to an apartment on Bishop Avenue around 7:00 p.m. Tuesday night.

Police say Zollo approached officers on scene with that knife.

Officers ordered him to drop it, even tazing him.

However, police say Zollo still advanced toward police.

Officers say they fired four to five shots at the man.

Zollo was pronounced dead at the scene.

No officers were hurt in the incident.
