Man rescued from NYC bridge

Police rescued an emotionally disturbed man from the RFK Bridge in New York City on Sunday.

Police responded to a 911 call at about 2:30 p.m. Officers found that a 31-year-old man had climbed tower B of the bridge.

Traffic was shut down on the eastbound side of the bridge and an airbag was deployed on the roadway of the bridge.

As crews were trying to talk wit the man he passed out and slumped over on the platform. Rescue crews immediately ran and pulled the man to safety and began performing CPR.

He was taken to Harlem Hospital by EMS in serious but stable condition.
