Man runs to hospital after being shot in the chest in West Philadelphia

Police are looking for two suspects after a shooting in West Philadelphia.

The incident happened around 12:40 a.m. on Friday when officials say two men were seen firing guns and running after a 21-year-old victim. The victim was reportedly walking along Conestoga Street, realized he was about to be robbed, and ran away from the two men towards 5400 Larchwood Avenue.

Police say both men fired multiple shots at the victim and shot him in the right side of his chest. While they were shooting, some stray bullets also hit parked cars on the street.

The victim was able to run towards Mercy Hospital and made it to the Emergency Room. The victim is now listed in critical condition.

Investigators say one suspect was wearing a dark hoodie and mask and another one was wearing a white T-shirt.
