Man shot in head while parking his girlfriend's car
SOUTHWEST PHILADELPHIA (WTXF/AP) - Two men are being questioned after another man was ambushed and shot in the head in Southwest Philadelphia, overnight. It happened while he was parking his girlfriend's car.
Police say the gunfire rang out in the 5600 block of Angora Terrace, just after 1am Thursday.
They told FOX 29 News the shooter walked up to the driver's side of the car and started firing. The 34-year-old victim was shot in the head and actually tried to run away before collapsing.
He was found on the road and taken to the hospital. He's now listed in critical but stable condition.
Police report a witness saw a gray minivan with a temporary tag leaving the scene. Officers say they found the 2008 gray Dodge Caravan around 57th Street and Baltimore Avenue. They stopped the vehicle and took the two men in it for questioning.
