Man sought after robbery at North Philadelphia Subway restaurant

Police are looking for a man following a robbery in North Philadelphia on Monday night.

The incident occurred after 5 p.m. at a Subway restaurant on 3226 North Broad Street.

Police have released the restaurants surveillance footage showing the suspect inside the restaurant with a gun. The video shows the suspect pointing the gun at the employee while police say he demanded money from the employee behind the counter.

Investigators say the employee handed over the money and the suspect then forced the employee into the restaurant bathroom and locked it.

The suspect then reportedly fled on foot and was last seen on Broad Street. Police say there were no shots fired and no injuries were reported.

The suspect is described as having a stocky build and between 6'0" and 6'3". If you see this man do not approach him and contact police immediately.
