Man, teenage girl stable after Wilmington shooting

Two people are in the hospital after an early morning shooting in Wilmington, Delaware early Saturday morning.

Officers were called to the 1300 block of East 27th Street after reports of a shooting around 12:30 a.m.

Upon arrival, officers found two victims suffering from gunshot wounds, including a 15-year-old girl. The teen had been shot in the lower back, and was transported to A.I. DuPont Children's Hospital where she was listed in stable condition.

A 30-year-old man was also shot in the incident and suffered a gunshot wound to the shoulder. He was taken to Christiana Hospital where he too was listed in stable condition.

The circumstances surrounding the shooting remain under investigation.
