Man turned away from waterpark rides because of prosthetic leg

(WTXF/STORYFUL) -- There was disappointment all around when a man celebrating his son's 7 th birthday at a waterpark in Texas was turned away from the waterslides because of his prosthetic leg.

Bryson Hurt and his son were at the Splash Kingdom Waterpark in Weatherford, Texas when Hurt was turned away.

Hurt's leg was amputated when he was 9-months-old.

Storyful reports that Hurt questioned the order with the manager of the park. The manger then confirmed the policy saying that they feared damage to the slides.

Hurt's mother Teresa Cannon posted to Facebook, saying, "I made a promise to him the night before his surgery that I would never allow to the best of my ability for someone to treat him differently, make fun of or break his spirit. Well Splash Kingdom - Hudson Oaks…you have turned a beautiful day celebrating my grandsons birthday into one of the most heartbreaking days of my and my sons life!"
