Man's body found wrapped in carpet in Fairmount Park

FAIRMOUNT PARK (WTXF) - Someone walking in the woods in Fairmount Park made a disturbing discovery, Sunday afternoon.

Police say that person found a man's body found wrapped in a carpet.

It happened at about 2:30pm near 2400 Reservoir Drive. That's east of the Schuylkill River, near the Fairmount Park Athletic Field.

The man has not been identified and police have not released his approximate age.

Medics pronounced him dead at the scene and notified the medical examiner.
