Mayor Kenney to attend gun violence reduction meeting Monday evening in South Phila.

Mayor Jim Kenney will attend the "We Must Take a Stand" Gun Violence Reduction Meeting in South Philadelphia Monday night.

The Mayor will be joined by the Deputy Mayor for Public Engagement Nina Ahmad and Direction of the Office for Black Male Engagement Jack Drummond.

The meeting aims to come up with reasonable solutions to address the issue of gun violence in South Philadelphia.

The event follows a double shooting that occurred Sunday evening in Philadelphia's Grays Ferry neighborhood.

Philadelphia Police are investigating the incident after two teens were injured.

The incident occurred just before 6 p.m. Sunday on the highway of 31st and Tasker Streets.

A 15-year old black male was shot in the left abdomen and one time in the right foot. He was taken to Children's Hospital of Philadelphia by police where he is listed in critical condition.

Police say a 17-year old black male was shot one time in the left calf and one time in the left arm. He was transported to Presbyterian Hospital by medics where he is currently listed in stable condition.

There is no word on a motive or a suspect at this time.
