Military family gets Christmas light surprise

A Sarasota man and his family got quite the surprise Tuesday when they returned home to find their house decorated for the holidays.

Florida Power & Light organized the surprise for Florida National Guard Chief Warrant Officer Corteney Callis and his six children.

When they got home, a group of volunteers greeted them after spending the day putting up Christmas decor and lights.

The National Guardsman has served multiple tours overseas and was deployed during Christmas in 2014.

"Last year I didn't get to do it because I was gone. So we didn't have any lights last year," Callis said.

He and his family are thankful to be together for the holidays this year, and to have a great set of Christmas lights to go with it.
