Monsignor Lynn's lawyers seek dismissal of cover-up case

Lawyers for a former Philadelphia church official are back in court Thursday.

Monsignor William Lynn's lawyers are asking a judge to have his clergy sex abuse cover-up case dismissed because of prosecutorial misconduct.

Lynn served nearly three years in jail before winning a retrial.

He is the first U.S. Roman Catholic Church official ever convicted of helping to shield child molesters.

The new trial is set for May.
