Mother and son reportedly rob Ephrata Church
EPHRATA, Pa. (WTXF) - Police have arrested a man and woman who they say robbed a church.
Ephrata Police responded to the Trinity Lutheran church in the 100 Block of East Main Street around 11 a.m. on Wednesday. They said members of the church staff had reported a robbery that occurred while they were on at lunch.
Officials later located 39-year-old Gwendolyn Eckert and her son 20-year-old Tyler Eckert who matched the description of those on the church surveillance footage. After further investigation, police connected them to the robbery and arrested them in the 500 Block of South State Street.
Gwendolyn Eckert was also wanted by the Lancaster County Sheriff's Department on an outstanding warrant.
Both were taken to Lancaster County Central Arraignment on the burglary and conspiracy charges.
