Mural Drawn by 2,700- the Pope Included- Dedicated in Philly

PHILADELPHIA- WTXF - A mural celebrating the World Meeting of Families and Pope Francis' visit to Philadelphia was officially dedicated Monday. The mural, featuring contributions from more than 2,700 people- including Francis himself- is under consideration for a Guinness World Record.

Titled The Sacred Now: Faith and Family in the 21st Century and designed by muralist Cesar Viveros, the mural was introduced by both the World Meeting and the City of Philadelphia Mural Arts Program, and sponsored by Walls Fargo. The final mural has been installed across the side of the Saint Malachy School on N. 11st Street.

"Partnering with the City of Philadelphia Mural Arts Program on this unique initiative to commemorate the World Meeting of Families - Philadelphia 2015 and Pope Francis' visit has been an incredible experience," Donna Crilley Farrell, Executive Director of the World Meeting of Families - Philadelphia 2015, said in a statement.

Guinness World Records is reviewing the mural's claim for the record of Most Contributions to a Painting by Numbers.
