Neshaminy HS Basketball Coach Placed On Leave After Bumping into Ref

Video from a high school basketball game in Bucks County is going viral, but it has nothing to do with any of the players on either team.

Instead, Neshaminy High School Head Basketball Coach Jerry Devine is the subject of the viral video after he appears to bump into a ref in the final moments of the game.

Devine has now been placed on administrative leave as a coach, as well as a teacher pending further investigation and review of the incident.

Neshaminy was down by four points to rival Pennsbury, with less than 30 seconds left. A Neshaminy player drove for a score, but the ref called off the basket, saying there was an offensive foul on the play.

Video shows Devine become very animated as he disagrees with the call and walks onto the court to confront the ref.

That's where there appears to be some contact, as the ref falls back onto the floor.

Middletown Township Police say they were not called to the school over the incident, but that they will be investigating.

Devine is an algebra and history teacher at Neshaminy High School.
