New Jersey state trooper at 9/11 dies from cancer

(WTXF) - A New Jersey state trooper who got sick after responding to the World Trade Center attacks on 9/11 has died.

Lt. Bill Fearon was diagnosed with a malignant brain tumor in 2015.

He died on Wednesday.

Lt. Fearon joined the state police in 1994.

He leaves behind his wife and their three children.
