OLD BRIDGE, N.J. - Authorities say a man is facing charges following an early morning crash involving a car and a pickup truck in New Jersey that killed two people, including a teenager.
The Middlesex County prosecutor's office said 23-year-old Tristan Rodriguez of Old Bridge is charged with second-degree vehicular homicide and fourth-degree assault by auto in the Old Bridge crash.
Prosecutors allege that he was intoxicated when his car crashed into the back of the pickup shortly before 4 a.m. Saturday near the JCP&L building.
Twenty-nine-year-old Krystal Diaz of Old Bridge was killed along with a 17-year-old girl whose name wasn't released. Rodriguez and the 20-year-old truck driver were also injured.
It's unclear whether Rodriguez has an attorney who could respond to the charges; a listed number for him couldn't be found Sunday.
