North Philadelphia shooting critically injures 17-year-old

NORTH PHILADELPHIA (WTXF) - Police in North Philadelphia are investigating a shooting in North Philadelphia that has left a 17-year-old teen in critical condition.

Police say they were called to the 2600 block of North 4th Street on the report of a shooting. Upon arrival, police say they found a 17-year-old male shot once in the left side of the chest.

The victim was transported to Temple University Hospital and placed in critical condition.

Authorities say the investigation is ongoing.
