Off-duty officer's firearm stolen during altercation in Lawncrest

LAWNCREST (FOX 29) - An off-duty police officer was taken to the hospital Friday morning after an altercation that ended with his service firearm being stolen.

Police say the officer was involved in an altercation outside of the Mill Pub on the 6700 block of Martins Mill Road in Lawncrest.

The officer's gun was taken during the altercation, and the officer was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

Investigators are now looking for the suspect, who has only been described as a white male in his 40s or 50s.
