Officials: Suspects sought in arson attempt at Del. townhouse
NEW CASTLE, Del. (WTXF) - Authorities are investigating after they say two people attempted to burn down a Delaware townhouse with three people inside late Friday night.
Around 11 p.m., deputy state fire marshals responded to the 100 block of Freedom Trail in the Saddlebrook neighborhood of New Castle.
Investigators say a liquid with an odor similar to gasoline was poured inside the home during a burglary.
The suspects were reportedly confronted by someone in the home and fled before igniting the poured liquid.
Officials describe the first suspect as a man between 35 and 40 years old who is 6 feet tall and around 200 pounds. He was last seen wearing a black hoodie with black jeans and a black mask.
The second suspect is described as a boy around 15 years old who is approximately 5-foot-5 and around 175 pounds. He was last seen wearing all black, except for a mask with a skull on it.
