Overnight water main break floods firehouse, dialysis clinic
WEST PHILADELPHIA (AP/WTXF) - An overnight water main break in West Philadelphia flooded a firehouse and a dialysis clinic.
The line broke at about 4am Monday on Market Street between 42nd and 43rd streets.
The water flooded the basement of the Engine 5/Ladder 6 firehouse. About five feet of water were reported in the basement.
A nearby dialysis clinic is also being affected.
Fire department officials say the flooded station remains open and the firefighters there are still on duty.
No traffic delays were reported in the area.
