PA Lottery Wild Ball feature offers more chances to win

Middletown, Pa. (WTXF) The Pennsylvania Lottery launched a new Wild Ball add-on feature for the PICK family of games, which will offer more chances to win.

According to Lottery Executive Director Drew Svitko, adding a Wild Ball to your PICK ticket could allow the player to win multiple times on a single play. It's available for PICK 2, PICK 3, PICK 4, and PICK 5 games, which are drawn twice daily.

At the day and evening drawings, the Pennsylvania Lottery will draw a one-digit Wild Ball number that applies to all four PICK games for that drawing. This number will be drawn before the PICK games.

According to the PA Lottery, with the Wild Ball add-on, the Wild Ball number selected can be used to replace any one of the numbers drawn for base game play. This will help create a winning combo for the play type on the purchased ticket.

The PA Lottery says players cannot not randomly insert any number to create a winning play. The Wild Ball number chosen by the PA Lottery must replace the drawn number.

The new Wild Ball feature makes it possible for someone to win prizes with base game play and with the Wild Ball or through the Wild Ball alone with it's separate prize structure.

Adding a Wild Ball will double the cost of the PICK base game play, according to the PA Lottery. However, players who do not wish to add the Wild Ball can continue to play PICK games. The PA Lottery says there will be no changes to the base games but players will need to fill out new play slips.

Kick-off events will be held at select PA Lottery retailers through September 30. For a schedule of events, please click here.
