Parking restrictions go into effect in South Philadelphia ahead of Super Bowl

Philadelphia police have shut down parking on portions of Broad Street Sunday afternoon ahead of the Super Bowl.

There will be no parking on Broad Street from Arch to Pine and around city hall and from Dickinson to Oregon Avenue.

These restrictions include the northbound and southbound sides and the median strip. Restrictions will be in effect from Sunday at 2 p.m. to Monday at 3a.m. 'No Parking' signs will be posted along the affected route.

Officers are expected to be out at multiple so-called hotspots like Frankford and Cottman, Broad Street in Center City, and at Broad and Pattison near the stadiums.
