Pennsylvania lawmaker suggests he'd hit protesters with his car
A Pennsylvania lawmaker is under fire for his suggestive tweets.
Rep. Aaron Bernstine posted to social media on Friday implying he would hit protesters his car if they blocked a road he was driving on.
Berstine, a republican who represents Beaver, Butler and Lawrence counties in Pennsylvania, was responding to protests against St. Louis police after an officer was acquitted of murder charges for fatally shooting a black man.
Once Berstine started receiving backlash from followers, he defended the tweet, suggesting that not stopping your car is a form of self-defense.
