Philadelphia and IBM Launch App for World Meeting of Families

Philadelphia 2015 and IBM have launched a free mobile app today that will help visitors and residents navigate the city during the World Meeting of Families and Papal Visit this September.

The new app titled, "Go Philadelphia!", will provide users with information about special exhibits and events planned for the week of the Papal visit.The app has more than 20 categories and will also provide information on exhibits, events, maps, and more throughout the city.

One of the unique features of "Go Philadelphia!", is that it will provide real time translations of the Papal Mass, scheduled for September 27.

"With the world expected to gather in the heart of Philadelphia, we are excited to provide our cloud and mobile expertise to help the city prepare for this global event and ensure visitors feel informed and connected. The app will live on past September, benefiting the City of Brotherly Love for years to come", said Diane Melley, Vice President of Global Citizenship Initiatives.

Go Philadelphia is free to download for Android and Apple users.
