Philadelphia firefighters battle fire in two-story Torresdale apartment building

TORRESDALE (FOX 29) - Philadelphia firefighters battle a blaze in an apartment building in Torresdale.

Officials say fire crews got the call about 7:15 p.m. Saturday and they responded to the 9100 block of Academy Road.

The fire in the two-story apartment building was placed under control by firefighters just after 7:30 p.m.

Officials say two people were transported to the hospital, but their conditions were not known.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
