PHILADELPHIA - Bright sunshine on Monday won't do much to thaw the icy aftermath of Sunday's snowstorm as temperatures will remain well below freezing.
The late-day winter storm brought several inches of snow to the Philadelphia-area, and even higher accumulations in northern parts of the region.
Frigid temperatures over the next several days, including lows in the single digits, will keep the Philadelphia-area in a deep freeze.

Snowfall totals topped 3.5 inches in Philadelphia, and some surrounding areas saw even higher accumulations.
The highest snowfall totals recorded on Sunday were in Northampton and Lehigh counties, where 7 inches fell.
More modest accumulations were recorded in New Jersey and Delaware, averaging 1-3 inches.
