Philly Police, Junior NBA team up to mentor underserved kids

Addressing the myth of "us against them" is how one man described the Full Court Press Mentoring Day held on Saturday in Spring Garden.

The single-day youth basketball and mentoring clinic aims to help underserved boys and girls both on and off the court through basketball instruction, mentoring roundtables and an innovative life skills curriculum.

The Police Athletic League of Philadelphia teamed up with the Junior NBA and other organizations to put on the event.

This year, the clinic drew in 100 boys and girls between ages nine and 16.
