Philly police say man fatally stabbed, possibly hit with SUV

PHILADELPHIA (AP) -- Philadelphia police are investigating the death of a man who was found with multiple stab wounds and may have also been hit by a sport-utility vehicle.

Police haven't released the man's name, but say he was in his 20s and found in the city's Frankford section about 8:30 p.m. Thursday.

Police say the man was able to run about a half block after being stabbed, and that's when he may have been struck by the SUV, or simply ran into the vehicle himself. He died a short time later at Temple University Hospital.

Police say they've found a knife with a bloody handled. They've also tracked down the address that matches the license plate of the SUV, but haven't said whether they've found the driver.
