Police: 17-year-old stabbed in West Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA (WTXF) Police are investigating a stabbing that left a teen injured on the 4900 block of Walton Avenue in West Philadelphia.

The incident happened shortly after 4 p.m. Tuesday.

Police say a 17-year-old male was stabbed 5 times; 3 times in the chest, 1 time in the ribs and 1 time in the left thigh.

According to police, they are searching for the suspect who is described as a black male in his 30s who was wearing a white t-shirt and blue jeans.

The victim was transported to Presbyterian Hospital where he's listed in critical condition.

So far, no weapon has been recovered.
