Police: Argument leads to shooting in Tacony

A man is listed in critical condition after an apparent argument lead to a shooting in Tacony.

According to authorities, a 30-year-old man and a 28-year-old woman were driving along the 4500 block of Wellington Street about 2:30 a.m. Sunday, November 26 when they thought a vehicle was following them.

Police say the man pulled over, and two men got out of the other vehicle. The men were said to have tire irons and a gun.

The three men apparently began to argue. The two men, who were reportedly armed, began to attack the 30-year-old and shot the man in his chest and arm.

Police found the man on the 7100 block of Glenloch Street. He was rushed to Aria Torresdale Hospital where he is listed in critical condition. The 28-year-old woman was treated at the same hospital for minor injuries.

The investigation is ongoing. Police say they have made no arrests.
