Police: Armed Man Forces Way into Home, Fled After Dropping Weapon

Philadelphia Police are investigating a home invasion that took place in the city's West Passyunk Neighborhood late Saturday night.

The incident occurred on the 2300 block of Bambrey Terrace around 10:15 p.m.

Police say a black male forced his way into an occupied home while armed with a gun. Four adults and one toddler were home at the time of the incident.

Once inside, police say the suspect dropped the gun, and fled the house without picking it back up.

No injuries were reported and police were able to recover the weapon.

Police are searching for the suspect who was described as being between the ages of 20 and 30.
