TINICUM TOWNSHIP, Pa. (WTXF) - Police arrested Ronald Ferrell, 41, of Tinicum Township for a total of three robberies and possessing a stolen car.
The crime spree started on November 24 when Ferrell dressed in a black hooded jacket and a ski mask and stole a Ford Focus from a 66-year-old Tinicum Township resident.
The resident left his car running while he went into Jim's Place to pick up his sandwich. That's when Ferrell took the car.
Shortly afterward Ferrell robbed the Subway sandwich shop located right off I-95 in Upper Chichester.
The second incident occurred on December 7 at around 12 a.m. Ferrell returned to Tinicum Township and robbed the Valero Gas Station located on the 200 block of North Governor Printz Boulevard in Essington.
The third incident occurred on December 11. Ferrell attempted to rob Femi's Pizzeria, but the owner chased him from the store.
A Tinicum Township Police Officer observed the Ford Focus operated by Ferrell on 2nd Avenue in Essington.
At the Intersection of Route 420 and Route 291, a car stop was conducted of the Ford Focus, and Ferrell was taken into custody without incident.
During all three robberies he displayed a black revolver, telling the victims he wasn't going to hurt them but just wanted the money.
Ferrell is currently detained at George Hill Correctional Facility on $500,000 bail.
